RESULT & PRESENTATION

The results were announced in order of ranking from 16th place to 4th place And finally the top 3 were announced.
In 3rd place was Mr. Masami Sano from Hokkaido (on the right in photo). He had said that he would take the championship cup to Hokkaido this year, so he was quite disappointed. Nevertheless he was enthusiastic about participating in the next Wizard Japan Championship.

Miss Mihoko Terasaki from Kanto (second left in photo) placed 9th in the first round but in the second round she scored 520 points, the highest score in this year’s tournament.

The 2009 champion is Mr. Shinnichi Takasaki from Kansai (second right in photo). He got good scores in both the first and second rounds and won by a nose. Congratulations!

The champion Takasaki was given a luxury wooden game set and a championship cup. Moreover he will be sent to the 2010 Wizard Championship to represent Japan. His travel expenses will be covered.

Previous Wizard Championships have been held either in Canada or the United States but the 2010 tournament will be held in Germany. We are confident that Mr. Taskasaki will be a strong competitor as the representative from Japan.
